The first part of this verse makes us think of those women mentioned in the Old Testament. Eve, despite listening to the servant must have been a wonderful lady. First Peter 3:6 tells us that Sarah was a model wife. Jochebed was Moses mom, another remarkable woman.
The last part of this verse should bring to mind Job’s wife. She was not much of a help to him. She could very well be described as “rottenness in his bones.” Interestingly, Satan took away everything from Job, except Job’s wife. Hence her advice, curse God and die. Thanks Honey…
