Someone once told us that you can’t trust your heart, your heart is desperately wicked. That’s right if you are not saved, not born again. God here, is talking to His child. He is talking to the one that He has given a new heart, a new nature, one that has been born again. God is saying to this person, “I want you to come to Me and I want you to yield yourself to Me. If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
If you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, you can sing:
Take my poor heart, and let it be
Forever closed to all but Thee
Take my love, my Lord; I pour
At Thy feet it’s treasure- store.
